Judges Chapter 10. It starts out naming a couple of Israel's judges. Then, you know the drill. Israel started serving the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and a lot of other 'gods' of other people and forsook the Lord. And the Lord was hot! He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and the people of Ammon. And Israel was serverly distressed. So they cried out to the Lord but the Lord reminded them that He delivered them from the Egyptians, Amorties, people of Ammon, the Philistines, the Sidonians, Amalekites, and the Maonites. And he told them that He would not deliver them anymore and for them to cry out to the gods that they have chosen and let them deliver you. The children of Israel said that "we have sinned!" and prayed for deliverance, put away the foreign gods and served the Lord. His soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel.
No matter how much they "play the harlot" and sin against the Lord, He still takes them back. I'm glad He does, 'cause if not, I know I would be in a world of trouble!
